Storyline: Chitrangada or Chitra is suddenly attracted towards women, sexually. Being a psychology professor herself, Chitra is stunned and clueless about the phenomenon and also faces complaints from staff and students about her changed behavior. Chitra sets off to the US in order to unravel the mystery behind her dreams and sudden change in behavior.
Chitrangada continues the trend of comedy-driven horror films in Tollywood. And yet again, it is one of those ‘based on a true story’ films. However, despite being armed with a good story, director Ashok G fails to capitalise it fully.
Chitrangada (Anjali) is a psychology professor with a dark past. Her life takes a spooky turn when disturbing dreams, visions and behavioral changes, especially a hitherto unfelt sexual attraction towards women, start haunting her all of a sudden. The professor, who wonders what is happening to her, tries to get help in various ways but people only end up ridiculing her. That’s when she decides to travel to the US in search of help. The film is about how she tackles the issue.
